I just watched  London starring Chris Evans, Jessica Biel, Jason Statham and Joy Bryant and this movie was phenomenal! On the surface level , the movie centers around   an intellectually yet emotionally wrecked, drug addicted young man, Syd, played by the fantastic Chris Evans, who tries to win back his girlfriend London, played by Jessica Biel. He has been single for six months after being in two year relationship with London and the time apart totally destroys him. Making a conscientious decision to win her back, he decides to show up uninvited to her going away party and the story revolves around him coming to terms with who he is and whether or not she really is worth it. The sheer brilliance of this movie lies within the issues it addresses. It basically is told from the male perspective and is the epitome of insecurities men feel when in a relationship. The dynamic between the characters is just incredible and I loved the fact that most of it takes place in the bathroom in the apartment while the party goes on outside and the viewer really gets under the skin of each of the characters. I love the  comedic nuances in this movie like the fact that a bunch of  coke heads in a bathroom take part in conversations that range from the philosophical debate as to whether or not a God exists to the fact that guys also have feelings and are insecure. The more movies I watch of  Chris Evans, the more he shines as an actor ! If you want to see a romantic comedy that actually has substance and  does not merely float on the surface , like most movies out there , I would definitely suggest you watch this one. As a guy, I totally could relate to the male characters  on certain levels.
